Two weeks later

Two weeks in and four puppies have opened their eyes: Denali, Sequoia, Masi, and Acadia. For these four, it marks the beginning of the Transitional Period.

Puppies have started crawling towards people in their box and nuzzling them. Are they seeking human attention or another heat source? Who is to say, but it’s terribly cute.

At Day 10, every puppy should have doubled its birthweight as indication of healthy growth. Our puppies actually tripled in weight… They are hungry little ones! Hats off to our lovely Irene for her milk supply.

After Day 10, I switched from grams to ounces. By Day 11, all puppies were over 1lb.

Pulu man is still holding on to his position as the largest puppy. He is just under 2lbs now.

Serengeti surpassed Komodo for the second largest puppy this week. She is 27.3oz and Komodo is just barely behind her at 26.9oz.

Masi left his station as the smallest puppy with Sequoia taking his place. She is a cute 21.1oz.
